Pr.Dr. Youmna Elhissi System Engineering Laboratory University Sultan Moulay Slimane, Morocco | ICIEICT23-SSN-5: Digitalization impact on organization Management and performance Objectives and motivations At a time of accelerated digital transformation and mobility for all, new ways of working, vectors of productivity gains, crystallize the attention of top management. The real challenge is to change the management of the company to anchor the new features offered by technology in the working methods of the teams. The term digitalization has become common in the business world. Business leaders, speakers, public authorities and other economic actors use it frequently. There is even talk of the “Fourth Industrial Revolution”. Digitization affects the functioning of the company as a whole (distribution, customer experience, communication, business model, management, HR, production, etc.). For this reason, it should not be considered as an activity or a project, but as a complete and structural overhaul of the functioning of the company. Therefore, it is clearly of a strategic nature and must be integrated into the business strategy. In management, experts insist on 3 essential steps to ensure a pragmatic and successful digital transformation: 1. Know where to start your transformation 2. Gradually identify your priorities 3. Communicate effectively on the digital transformation to its employees Scope and Interests (not limited to) This session aims to bring together researchers, academicians and practitioners for discussion and exchange of ideas on the latest theoretical developments in this field as well as on the best practices for a wide range of applications. Prof DIB Djalel Department of Electrical Engineering Mining Laboratory University Larbi Tebessi of Tebessa, Algeria | ICIEICT23-SSN-24: Green hydrogen and the fuel cell, a promising resource for the power electric storage Objectives and Motivation : The current global energy situation exposes in stark fashion, an unprecedented energy crisis, accentuated by the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the imperative that is widely imposed on the world is the exit from fossil fuels. On the road to carbon neutrality by 2050, no solution should be ruled out. A diversified energy mix will make it possible to achieve this objective. The development of renewable or low-carbon hydrogen must be a vector for massive decarbonization of many sectors of our economy as well as reindustrialization on the various continents. Faced with an extremely changing geopolitical framework, it seems essential to encourage and secure the production of hydrogen in order not to create new energy dependencies. Hydrogen is an opportunity for sovereignty, and manufacturers will play a key role in achieving the rapid scaling up imposed by this new energy context and the climate challenge. However, the considerable rise in energy prices, from which many economic sectors are suffering, is likely to have a structural impact on the value chain and the deployment of carbon-free hydrogen. The territories, essential links in the planning of the deployment and the anchor points of ecosystems of production-use of hydrogen, are in the front line to face this energy crisis. The development of knowledge of hydrogen through scientific research in the theoretical and experimental aspects involves all the actors of the different sectors for a more rational energy transition vision Three axes of development are interesting to retain for the Hydrogen vector: The blue and green production of hydrogen Hydrogen storage and current constraints The exploitation of the hydrogen as an energy resource Scope and Interests Cette session vise à réunir des chercheurs, des universitaires et des praticiens pour discuter et échanger des idées sur les derniers développements théoriques dans ce domaine de l'hydrogène ainsi que sur les meilleures pratiques pour un large éventail d'applications.

Dr. AbdulRaouf Khan Associate Professor Department of Computer Sciences King Faisal University, Alhassa, 31982, Saudi Arabia | ICEICT23-SSN-35: Advances in Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) The Internet of Things (IoT) technology has emerged in response to the ever-growing demand for smarter, faster, and more convenient ways of connecting and controlling large numbers of smart devices. IoT applications are encountered in a variety of fields, such as healthcare, business, home appliances, and the military. It involves a large number of smart devices and sensors connected together, where this allows us to continually obtain massive amounts of data that are then sent to a processing unit to obtain meaningful information for the end users. This central processing unit may be a cloud server that can provide unlimited storage and processing capabilities. Cloud computing is a suitable technology for allowing limited-capability devices in the IoT to offload their computational tasks to a more powerful server. However, having only one central server increases the potential for the development of bottlenecks such that the performance of the entire system is dependent on a single point: the cloud server. Moreover, commonly used applications of the IoT involve mobile devices, such as vehicles and smartphones, connected together. Cloud computing is not the best choice for this type of IoT due to such limitations as location unawareness, high cost, the unavailability of real-time services, and insufficient guarantees of data privacy. These limitations have led to the advent of another technology: mobile edge computing (MEC). MEC provides a decentralized structure wherein several mobile servers with high processing capabilities are provided to serve the end devices. Mobile Edge Computing will play very important roles in future computing and networking systems. However, resource constraints of these mobile devices effect the efficiency, throughput and have other communication based limitations. There is a need to investigate computing & networking technologies to optimize MEC resources and architectures. Very recently Federated Learning in AI has emerged where Mobile devices collaboratively train a Model while keeping the training data decentralized. The objective of this special session is to discuss the future advancements in Mobile Edge Computing technologies, challenges, and its applications. The topics of interest include but are not limited to the following. • MEC for 5G & 6G • MEC for IoT services • Computing & Networking issues. • Security & Privacy issues • Applications in the industry • Application in AI • Resource optimization • Data analysis and Federated Learning |

Dr. Florin Vladica College of Business Management, University of Doha for Science and Technology, Qatar | ICEICT23-SSN-36: Adoption and Use of AI Technologies in Business Education Objectives and Motivations A student is said to be engaged in learning when that student is involved “in meaningful academic activities” (Collaco, 2017, p. 40). Student engagement is important because it is one of the best predictors of a student’s success in learning. Since not all activities engage students in the same way, instructors are faced with the challenge of gaining and keeping the attention, interest and motivation of students over the duration of the class period (Birknerova, 2010). Therefore, educators devote substantial effort to deploy educational and learning tools and techniques that can address such challenge(s) (Matute & Melero, 2016). In this context, artificial intelligence (AI) is already in use in classrooms with such things as smart textbooks, computerized grading, assessment tools, responsive games and simulations (Ahalt & Fecho, 2015). For example, business games and simulations use artificial intelligence to update outcomes or difficulty of questions based on information students provide. In this way, the outcomes of simulations are influenced by the student’s responses. This produces more personalized learning for the student resulting in more engaged and successful students (UNESCO, 2019). This special session explores current status and best practices for, adoption and integration of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in education. The AI applications are drivers for innovation in business and education. Developed economies already prototype and bring to the marketplace innovative applications that learn by interacting with humans (students), evolve independently and then contribute to learning. Developing countries can benefit too, as AI applications are drivers for innovation in business and education. Especially in the Middle East, some countries have the potential and strive to become leaders in the development of artificial intelligence applications. Ultimately, the contributions for this special session address a gap in knowledge and capabilities required for best practices, and for prototyping and commercialization of educational services using artificial intelligence technologies. Scope and Interests This session aims to bring together researchers, academicians and practitioners for discussion and exchange of ideas on the latest concepts, frameworks, theoretical and applied developments in this field of interest, as well as on the best practices and prototypes for a wide range of applications. Papers dealing with case studies, business games and simulations, experimental and theoretical works along with their application to real life situations are of particular interest. Submissions for this special session should address, but are not limited to, the following or related topics: - Education and Continuing Education - Artificial Intelligence in Education - Serious Games and Simulations - Governance and Management |
